We care about the environment and your health. Whenever possible, we choose to use sustainable and natural materials for our furniture, flooring, and paint. We do our best to provide you with the healthiest materials possible.

  • Free parking space for a normal sized car in an underground, enclosed, covered communal garage. The dimensions of this parking space are: Length: 4 meters, width: 2.2 meters, height: maximum. 1.90 metres.
  • Possibility to store your bike in 3 places (in a communal bicycle shed outside and inside in an underground, closed, covered communal garage. You can also park bicycles in the aforementioned free parking space for the car if the bicycles fit in here).
  • Ability to store skis and cross-country skis.

For environmental and health reasons, we strive for a plastic-free kitchen. This way we want to prevent your food from coming into contact with microplastics and you consume them. Many kitchen materials are made of stainless steel and wood.

Living/sleeping area

  • 2 (folding) beds for a maximum of 2 people in total, with extra long mattresses. Double bed mattress size: 160 x 210 cm. We generally assume that you will sleep on this double bed. If you are coming as a couple and wish to sleep separately, please let us know in advance. We can then ensure that a single bed (mattress size 90 x 210 cm) is ready for you.

As your hosts, we’d be delighted to provide you with a guest card of Binntal Nature Park. The guest card entitles you to various benefits and discounts.

Would you like to take advantage of this? Please contact us after making your booking. We will then ask for some personal details (such as your full name as it appears in your passport, your home address, date of birth, telephone number and email address). We need this information to apply for your guest card. We will then email the guest card to you.

    – If the roads are slippery or there is snow: snow chains

Things to bring with you to Ferienstudio Heidi

For environmental and hygiene reasons, and to accommodate the wide variety of guests’ preferences, no food, drinks or toiletries are provided. Please bring these yourself as required.

  • As required: food (such as vinegar, pepper, salt, oil).
  • As required: drinks (coffee, coffee filters, coffee capsules (Nespresso Original), tea, sugar, milk, etc.). You can drink tap water.
  • Personal care products (such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, hairbrush/comb, etc.)
  • If you prefer: your own pillow (pillows are also provided)
  • Slippers

Equipment tips

  • A tablet or laptop, so you can watch films or TV series
  • If you wish: an e-reader so you can read
  • Chargers for your phone, tablet, laptop
  • Universal adapters (some plugs in Switzerland are different from those in the rest of Europe). The voltage in Switzerland is 230 volts, the frequency 50 Hz. In Switzerland, two-pin (type C) and three-pin (type J) plugs are used.
    – Flat and two-pin European plugs (type C) do fit into Swiss sockets. European chargers for your laptop and smartphone, for example, may also fit.
    – Round European Schuko plugs (type F, as often found on hairdryers, see photo below) do not fit into Swiss sockets (type J). These sockets have an extra, round earth pin that European plugs do not have.

Tips on what to bring for activities in the area

Clothing and footwear

  • Layered clothing (so you can adapt to the weather)
  • A warm jumper (it can cool down in the evening when the sun goes down and get chilly outside, even in summer)
  • If you want to go swimming: swimwear
  • Waterproof rainwear (including for your head)
  • Sun protection (also in winter) such as:
    – a hat or a cap to protect against the sun
    -sunglasses (even if there is snow)
    – protective clothing
    -sunscreen
  • If you’re going skiing/snowboarding/mountain biking: protective clothing such as a back protector and crash pants
  • Waterproof (mountain walking) boots with a good tread

Useful accessories

  • If you want to cycle/mountain bike/ski/snowboard: a cycling helmet/ski helmet with MIPS or something similar
  • If desired: walking sticks
  • Waterproof daypack
  • Water bottle
  • An umbrella that can withstand the wind
  • For women: female urination device
